In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too. The PVSA is awarded to volunteers who have set themselves part from their peers by achieving service milestones in a 12-month period. It is a tremendous honor and allows dedicated volunteers to serve as an example that encourages other to take action. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of their service achievements. Levels include bronze, silver, gold. The recipients will receive medal, certificate, and a congratulation letter from the President.

Volunteer Eligibility and Eligible Service (based upon the info published on https://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/) 申請資格和要求（以該網站公告為主 https://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/）
- United States citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e., green card holder) 美國公民或是具有美國永久居留權者（例如, 綠卡擁有者）
- Must be at least five years old 至少五歲以上
- Completes eligible service within a 12-month period (for annual Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards) and over a lifetime (for Lifetime Achievement Awards) 在12 個月以內完成符合志工項目的獎項所需的時數
- Unpaid acts of volunteer service benefitting others 只有無薪志願服務才能計入義工時間

Application Procedures 申請流程:
- Complete the “New Life Action Volunteer Application Form” 填寫「新生命行動義工申請表」, 確定參與「美國總統志工服務獎」。
- Complete the “New Life Action PVSA Log Sheet”. Eligible service hours are from August 1 till the next year July 31. 填寫「新生命宣道會志工服務時數表」記錄志工時數. 累計時數以每年的八月一日至翌年的七月三十一日為主。
- New Life Action Committee will review all the required documentation and the eligible hours 新生命宣道會審核所需的證件及時數。
- New Life Action Committee will request the award package for the qualified volunteers and announce the result on the New Life Alliance Church website https://nlcac.org/ 合格者, 將由新生命宣道會統一送交、 提出申請; 然後統一通知申請結果, 並在教會網站公佈獲獎者名單 https://ch.nlcac.org/
